The grooming guidelines of the Ministry of Education in relation to grooming for both male and female students will be strictly enforced.
The school has reorganized its operations and will continue to operate a stationery desk from the School Library where items may be purchased in the mornings, during the lunch period and after school. This will eliminate the need for students to be on the corridors during class time.
Arrangements have been made for cellular phones to be collected and kept for the day by a designated teacher at a cost of fifty dollars ($50.00) each day.
The phones will be returned after dismissal. Any phone taken on to the compound will be confiscated. A confiscated phone will only be returned to a parent/guardian after a contribution of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) is received.
Cellular phones will only be returned on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Students entering Grade 10 are required to purchase a new ID Card to reflect physical changes. Students who paid and have not received their Identification Cards are asked to take proof of payment to the general office.
We ask that parents/guardians seize every opportunity to help us maintain a high standard of attendance and punctuality. Please ensure that your child/ward is up for school by 5:00 a.m. Kindly make arrangement to get students to school on/before 8:00 a.m. each school day.
A student who was absent, must return with a letter from parent/guardian explaining the reason for the absence. The student will not be allowed in class until this is received. The reason will not be taken by voice.
If students do not wish to purchase from the Canteen/Tuck Shop they should take lunch to school. No purchasing from outside will be permitted between 8:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
The Breakfast Programme will begin in September 2022. Parents please encourage the students to arrive on time and make use of this program. Food from other establishment are not allowed on the campus.
As we seek to use 21st Century methods to communicate, we ask that each parent/guardian provide an email address. We will make arrangements for the creation of email addresses if necessary.
The Ministry of Education and Youth has provided an email address for each student. Please make every effort check both yours and your child’s email regularly as this will be the new norm for communication.
All reports will be sent to the parent’s email address. If one is not available, it will be sent to the students email provided by the Ministry of Education and Youth. All visits to the school will be guided by COVID-19 and Monkey Pox Protocols. A printed copy will be available at the school on Thursday, 28, 2022.
A harmonious working relationship between home and
school is integral to the students’ success. We are therefore encouraging every parent to be an active member of the PTA. Please make every effort to attend the first meeting for the term. You will be informed as soon as the date is set.
This is a privilege, not a right and will be determined by the academic performance of the student body.
Therefore, low academic performance means no Fun Day.
